“Dear Ann, We just wanted to thank you for your help in having Sara/Sierra join our family in March. We are so pleased with her temperament and she is pretty much exactly how you said she would be. She is very good with our visitors and grandchildren and generally loves anyone who pays attention to her. On our last visit to the grandchildren she was playing fetch with my 2 1/2 year old grandson and she is so gentle! She also travels beautifully! The fact that she was already used to the crate was very helpful and you gave us lots of good suggestions and advice. I was looking for a companion dog and Sierra is proving to be a great friend and "therapy" dog as I recover from surgery. She has had lots of new experiences with us and she is very good and calm in new situations. We are still looking forward to introducing her to the canoe and camping coming up soon. Grooming her is a breeze... She loves it! Not long after we got her she stepped on a cactus and it was stuck right in her foot! Ken held her foot and I had to use the leash to loop around it and pull it out. She just stood there quietly and never made a peep or struggled! We were thinking that with our previous dogs we would have had to call a rescue squad! Anyway, I just want to say that Sierra has proved to be both the dog you said she was and the dog I was looking for. Thanks!” Carol and Ken James
“I thought you might like to hear how our Llewy is doing! To say we love him would be an understatement. So smart, gentle, and loving. He is bigger than we anticipated (already 23 lbs!), and the vet feels he will be aprox 35 lbs. I can't tell you how many people stop and ask us what kind of dog he is and they always comment how adorable he is. He loves to play with Jay (they are the best of buddies) and spends alot of time outside. He is a bit of a hunter (eats spiders, bugs), loves to chase and bring back any kind of ball. He never barks - so quiet that Jay calls him Houdini because we never hear him leave or enter a room. He has been on many road trips and travels excellent! His coat is getting much thicker and does not shed a bit. I am also pleased to say that I am not allergic to him in the least!” Karen C
“We absolutely LOVE Shiloh! She is an amazing puppy. People always stop me to comment on her beautiful color and her excellent temperament. Everyone who sees her immediately loves her. Our boys are enjoying her and spend lots of time playing and running around together. I've included some recent photos of her for you to see. A lady at the bank the other day was commenting on Shiloh and how she was just the type of dog she was looking for. She even took a photo of her with her cell phone! I gave her all the info about Shiloh and also your name and website info. Thank you so much. We are blessed to have found you and to have adopted such a wonderful puppy. She's been a dream.” Maria in Kelowna
“I want to thank you for your patience in answering my numerous emails making my decision to adopt a labradoodle so easy. Buddy is truly a gentle teddy bear always willing to please. Coming to us at 1 1/2 years, he adjusted so easily to life in our home, loving everyone once he gets to know them. He loves my grandchildren and they love him. They can't seem to walk past him without giving him a hug or a pat. I take Buddy for walks in the park and people are constantly stopping and asking me what kind of dog he is and wanting to pet him. My vet says that he has an awesome temperament, very calm and non-aggressive. He is doing so well. He is starting to play with the cats. I think he would have played with them sooner but the cats have been a little crusty. They are adjusting to him finally. He likes to gather up the dog and cat toys and put them on his pillow that he has to lay on in the living room. He is a very sweet dog and exactly what we have been wanting.” Sharon k.
“Max - Hi Ann - Just wanted to let you know about Max. He weighs 51.4 lbs and is doing so well. He has really enjoyed the unexpected snow we have had in Victoria. He doesn't understand the concept of not opening Christmas gifts until the 25th and he doesn't pay much attention to who they are for (if they smell or feel interesting then it is fair game!) but all in all he added great joy to our Christmas morning. His socialization skills are wonderful as we spend a lot of time walking him in off leash parks. He also comes on my runs but I'm always irritated that he doesn't breath hard! Max has really been a joy for us - especially my husband Bill who at the beginning was not so keen. Max and Bill are like frik and frak - you don't see one without the other - although Max spends a lot of time at my side too. We are extremely happy with the little bundle that came to us last April although he is certainly a bit bigger now. Thanks for bringing us together Ann. As we come up to his first year birthday we are certainly the richer for having him in our lives. All our best.” Lesley B., Victoria, BC
“Lucy has now gone camping, she goes to our friends pool and lounges beside it while we swim, goes in a back pack on the front of Hanne for a bicycle ride and is a constant loving companion for Hanne. Lucy is smart (we think so anyway) and full of character and personality, she keeps us laughing and on our toes. When I come home I am always greeted with a doggie smile and lots of wags, what could be better than that!
Anne has helped all the way along. Helping us chose the right puppy for our family and giving us all sorts of information to make puppyhood a breeze. Lucy came to us pretty well house trained, used to the kennel and best of all she has obviously had a gentle hand as she loves humankind.” Thanks Anne, all the best, Susan
Bindi - “Wow, what can we say? Our Bindi is truely an amazing little dog. Our whole family is in love with her after having her for just two months. Her personality is amazing and we cannot believe that she is only 5 1/2 months old. Bindi has been very easy to train so far - we start classes tomorrow. She was fully house trained in about 2 weeks. That was no easy feat when it was -40 degrees outside! Everyone that meets Bindi is absolutely amazed at her beautiful coat and eyes. There is no shedding what so ever. Dealing with you Ann, from hundreds of miles away was so easy. You were so helpful and supportive with our adoption. Thank you.” Brian and Sandy
Ella - “Ella is a loveable, intelligent puppy and we just adore her. She’s adapted well to her new home and learns quickly. Everyone who meets us on the street or in the parks can’t help but ask about her breeding and comment on her unique look and of course that’s she’s so darn cute. Ella goes everywhere with us, including the farm and has learned to socialize well with other dogs and even horses—horses are kept at a safe distance! She has lots of energy to run and play and we are happy to take her for long walks along the beach or down the trails.
I would highly recommend the Labradoodle as a family pet to anyone who wants to bring energy and love into their home. While her gorgeous coat takes some extra loving care, it’s well worth it!” Kind regards, Emma and Karen
Finn - “We are so happy to welcome The Fabulous Finn (formerly Avonlee's Polo) into our lives. He has already brought us so much joy. An amiable, placid and loving little dog, Finn is always happy to be cuddled, petted and fussed over. He is intelligent, eager to please and docile, making training an easy pleasure. Whether zipping along a sandy beach or skipping and sniffing his way through woodland, Finn always exhibits sheer exuberance for life. Everyone tells us we have 'lucked out' with Finn - as if we needed telling! Our obedience trainer suggests TV and therapy training, due to his fortunate appearance and character! We feel so grateful to have been blessed with so much in one very special little pup.
A very big Thank-You to Chocko, Latte and Ann at Avonlee Labradoodles, Jess and Annie.”
"Bernie has the most incredible personality, he is exceptionally calm, in fact nobody can believe he is a puppy, yet very playful when it is time to play. He wakes up in the morning as if he is bursting with love and excitement to see you again. We are all smitten with him, he is the perfect puppy. Thank-you !" The Gugula family
“Avonlee's MacQuire, "Mac" - He is absolutely adorable, he seems so laid back. Thank you so much, we love him all ready. He loves my husband dearly as he is the first one he saw when we opened his crate, you were right. We took him to the nursing home to visit my Grandmother, he sat on her lap for 30 minutes, she wants him to live with her! Everyone that meets him instantly wants him. My vet said he was the cutest doodle they had seen, I might have been offended since they see my other doodles, but I was so proud of him. He was so laid back at the vets' they were very impressed. Thank you so much for Mac. (breeding potential)” Stephanie
“Coco is doing well. She starts puppy school this Sunday afternoon. She goes for a car ride (in her crate) everyday to pick up my oldest daughter at school. We stand outside the doors so she is now quite used to running, screaming kids and strangers coming up to pet her. She has met many of her neighbor dogs and really tries hard to play with the tail of Robbie the collie that lives 3 doors down. He's very old but doesn't seem to mind a bit. She has settled in wonderfully. She has moments where she is so full of beans and others where all she wants to do is cuddle. Fortunately the weather has been quite mild so the housebreaking is also going well. She really is a sweet little puppy.” Elizabeth
"Wow, we can't even describe how much we've fallen in love with Guinness, He is so gentle and sweet. We can't believe how wonderful his temperament is and how well he is adjusting. Thanks. " Matt & Chantalle
“Baby Finna is great. She's brilliant. She's made the rounds already at one of our hospitals and the cancer agency, and is meeting a lot of children. She shall have a brilliant career. ;o) And endless cuddles, she's such a fun cuddle bug. Obedience class starts this week. Puppy school was a blast. I'd like to do it over and over but we've graduated from play school and it's time to get to work. She continues to get a lot of attention from strangers. Kind of funny actually -- people driving by slowly to gawk at her.” Bye for now, Annette
“I picked Maddie up from the groomer's. She just had a slight trim, bath and had her nails trimmed, and she looks soooo cute! We had our first obedience class on Saturday, and she had a grand old time :) It's very hard for us to believe that we've only had her for two weeks! She definitely acts like she was born here, and we can't imagine that there was a time when she wasn't part of our family!” Lisa
Re: Shylow, (blk/wt. parti miniature, female) "Shylow is such a sweetheart, she follows me everywhere. She watches T.V. in the bed with me at night and then sleeps in her crate which is right by my bed. Very smart dog- she dances- I saw her do a movement last night that I could not believe a pup could do! Awesome dog- thanks " Terry K.
Re: Coco, (br. large-miniature) "Coco is amazing- she is the most gentle loving dog, that anyone has ever seen. We took her to Whistler on the long weekend and people went wild for her- you better start whipping up more puppies because she is creating a demand. I will try to get a photo of her with the girls."
